Our promise
The underground runs on trust and respect. To keep Haps a place where everyone can discover and enjoy events safely, we actively moderate content using a mix of automated filtering and human review. Content that breaks these rules is blocked or removed, and repeat or serious offenders lose access. The four lines below are bright lines — don't cross them.
1. No profanity directed as harassment, hate speech or discrimination
We have zero tolerance for:
- Slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics;
- Targeted harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation of any person;
- Content that promotes or glorifies hateful ideologies or groups.
Disagreement is fine. Hate and harassment are not.
2. No adult content or nudity
Haps is not a platform for sexual content. Prohibited content includes:
- Pornography, nudity or sexually explicit imagery or text;
- Solicitation of sexual services, or "DM for pics"-style content;
- Sexualised content involving minors — which we report to the authorities without exception.
3. No dangerous or illegal activities
Do not post content that encourages or facilitates harm, including:
- Self-harm or suicide;
- Weapons, explosives or instructions for making them;
- The sale or promotion of illegal drugs or other illegal goods;
- Violence, or threats or incitement of violence;
- Any other activity that is illegal where the event or user is located.
Promoting a music event is welcome; promoting illegal activity is not. Promoters are responsible for the legality and safety of their events.
4. No spam, scams or phishing
Keep Haps authentic. The following are not allowed:
- Repetitive, irrelevant or bulk-posted content;
- Scams, fraud, fake giveaways or deceptive links;
- Phishing or attempts to harvest other users' credentials or data;
- Fake events, fake ticket listings or misleading pricing.
5. Honest, accurate events
If you list an event, it must be real and accurately described — correct date, area, age limits, capacity and pricing. Location drops must lead to a genuine, safe venue. Misleading listings undermine trust in the whole platform and will be removed.
6. How we enforce these rules
The Haps app automatically screens titles, descriptions, profiles, messages and reviews for banned content before it's published. Depending on severity and history, we may:
- Block or remove the offending content;
- Warn the user;
- Restrict features (e.g. posting or messaging);
- Suspend or permanently ban the account;
- Report illegal content to law enforcement.
7. Reporting violations
See something that breaks these rules? Use the report option on any event, profile or message in the app, or contact us at support@haps.network or via our Support page. We review every report. Thank you for helping keep the underground safe.
