1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Haps Ltd. ("Haps", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Haps, and old enough to attend any event you RSVP to or buy tickets for (many underground events are 18+ or 21+). By using Haps you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorised use. You may delete your account at any time (see Account & Data Deletion).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Haps to:
- Post or share content that is hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory;
- Share adult/sexual content, or content promoting dangerous, illegal or harmful activities;
- Spam, scam, phish, or post misleading event listings;
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a promoter or venue;
- Scrape, hack, reverse-engineer or disrupt the Services;
- Violate any law or the rights of others.
Our full content rules are in the Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. We use automated and human moderation and may remove content or accounts that breach them.
5. Events & user content
Haps is a platform for discovering events. Events are created by promoters and other users, not by Haps. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant Haps a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the Services for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
You are responsible for the content you post and must have the rights to share it. We do not endorse and are not responsible for user- or promoter-generated content.
6. Promoter terms
If you use Haps as a promoter, you additionally agree that:
- You will only list events you are authorised to organise or promote;
- Event details — including dates, location drops, capacity, age limits and pricing — will be accurate and kept up to date;
- You are responsible for the safety, licensing and legal compliance of your events;
- You will honour tickets sold through Haps and handle attendee data responsibly and lawfully;
- You are solely responsible for any taxes, permits and obligations arising from your events.
Haps acts only as a discovery and ticketing platform and is not the organiser, host or operator of any event.
7. Tickets & payments
Some events sell tickets through Haps. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. When you buy a ticket:
- You pay the ticket price plus any service fee shown at checkout;
- Your ticket is issued in the app with a QR code for entry;
- Tickets are personal to you unless transfer is enabled by the promoter;
- Entry remains subject to the promoter's and venue's conditions (e.g. age, ID, capacity).
The buyer pays the ticket price plus a service fee; promoters receive the ticket proceeds per our promoter payout terms. Prices are shown in the applicable currency at checkout.
8. Refunds & cancellations
Refund and cancellation policies are set by the promoter and shown before purchase. If an event is cancelled or materially changed, the promoter is responsible for refunds. Service fees may be non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you're owed a refund, contact the promoter first; we can help mediate via support@haps.network.
9. Safety & assumption of risk
Underground events can carry inherent risks. You attend any event at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and conduct. Haps does not vet, inspect or supervise events or venues and is not liable for what happens at them. Always follow local laws and look out for yourself and others.
10. Intellectual property
The Haps name, logo, app and website (excluding user content) are owned by Haps Ltd. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works from the Services without our permission.
11. Termination
You may stop using Haps and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk for the platform or other users, or as required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. liability, IP) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that events listed will take place as described.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haps and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or attendance at any event. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
